Projekt Revolution

Last week Adam won 2 free lawn seats to see the Projekt Revolution concert at Nissan Pavilion from DC 101. The headlining acts including The Bravery, Chris Cornell, and Linkin Park. Adam's co-worker and partner in crime at CPB, Schwetz (aka Brian) joined us for the festivities. We arrived on site at about 4:45 and met up with DC101 rep Shannon for Adam to get the fender guitar that he won signed by Atreyu (I know we didn't know them either) and then headed off to our upgraded pavilion seats!!

Here are a few pictures from the event:

Hardwood Flooring Part Deux

So last weekend was all hardwood flooring all the time! Mom and Mike arrived Friday night and Mike and Adam did some last minute insulating laminent gluing. Saturday morning bright and early they starting flooring instulation while Mom and I ran some errands and worked on stuff around the condo. By Saturday afternoon Sarah was manning the saw and Mom, Mike and Adam were all measuring pieces and laying flooring to finish the living room and dining room so that we could go to Eamonn's for dinner. Fish and Chips were housed and we got to see Anthony Bourdain taping his show No Reservations on the Travel Channel! AWESOME!! We finished the night with Pop's ice cream (the cheesecake ice cream was amazing).

Sunday morning started early again with the men laying floors in the kitchen and the women putting the rest of the house back together, ironing, gardening and helping when needed on the floor. The whole thing was finished around 10:30, we ate some Valentino's pizza and then Mom and Mike drove home while we stayed up doing some more cleaning. Huge thanks to Mom and Mike! We could not have done it without you!

We have no in action flooring shots because we thought we had lost the charger only to have Adam find it on Monday (I know, I can't believe it either) in one of my messy drawers (my mother taught me better than that...at least my closet is clean now :) ). Here are some shots of the newly installed floors and a picture of us at Eamonn's courtesy of resident photog Colleen. The fuzzy picture Adam took of Anthony Bourdain will not be posted because Adam had to trade in his malfunctioning phone before he remembered to transfer the picture to the computer :(

I like how sable made her way into all of the photos :)

Hardwood Flooring part 1

So this past weekend/beginning of the week Adam and I have been ripping out carpet and molding, gluing down laminent and moving furniture all over the house in preparation for the hardwood flooring extravaganza that is to be this coming weekend! Thank you to Mike and Mom ahead of time for donating their time to the effort :)

DC United vs. Guadalajara Chivas

After a fun Saturday morning of carpet removal and house rearranging we headed to Colleen and Melanie's for a water sampling contest and Corhole where Sable made quite a splash.

Me in a very flattering pose and Melanie.

We then met up with The Gibney's, The Johnson's and Jason for the first game of the Superliga at RFK. It was a good game but unfortuneately DC United came up short in the 1-0 loss to the Chivas.

Summer Garden

Here are some pictures of my balcony garden! This year I actually got tomatoes to grow! Hopefully they taste good. The strawberries i've been getting have been hit or miss :)

I think Sable may dislike having her picture taken as seen by the attitude written on her face in these photos. Maybe I'll have to teach her to smile on command or bark instead of saying cheese :)

4th of July 2008

The Hardings took a whirlwind weekend trip up to Boston, MA for our Cousin Elizabeth's High School Graduation Party. We stayed in a nice Mariott in Quincy with an awesome buffet breakfast at which, in true Harding style, we ate until we couldn't eat anymore. Aunt Ann and Uncle Mike put on a fabulous 4th of July BBQ and graduation party on Saturday. We were sad to leave on Sunday, expecially because it required us all to be at breakfast by 7am and on the road at 7:45am. The trafficless trip was way comfy in mom's new MDX but full of too many backseat drivers!

Enjoy the pics!
